I started the Diva challenge this week on the plane from Atlantic City to Boston today. Birdie, as usual, wanted to play, too. She wasn't just happy drawing the string, but she wanted to tangle, too.
This ended up being a "tag team tangle," with me doing Mi 2, then Birdie did hers. We continued with Purk, Bales, and Paradox. We then finished by me adding Ixorus and Birdie adding Fescu.
I've been planning to write a book on shading Zentangles and Birdie wants to help with that, too. So, I have included both the original and shaded versions. Consider this a preview of our book :)
Sorry about the image quality. It's tough to blog from my iPhone!
ReplyDeleteIt shows the skill anyway.....very lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou're tag team effort is awesome. I see two new tangles I want to try. You made them look wonderful and interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks. This is the first time we've tangled together and it was fun. We have such different styles. I never thought of combining them before.
Deletegorgeous bird nest :)
ReplyDeleteBird nest?
Deletelove the escaping ribbon...these are great...
ReplyDeleteThank you. Sometimes the muse takes us off in unplanned directions and it works.
DeleteIsn't it interesting the depth shading gives our tangles. This is lovely (especially the patch of fescue).
ReplyDeleteI agree. Birdie did a great job on the fescu. I have trouble with this tangle.
DeleteI really like the "blue" one, as for some reason I can see the designs better. Very interesting combinations.
ReplyDeleteI really like both and being able to see the different effect the shading gives! Cool!
ReplyDeleteI love the shading, I alway forget to shade mine and it makes a difference. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteLovely piece you have here my darling. I use my iPhone all the time to take photos of my pieces, the best advice is take a photo outside in natural light.
