Birdie competed in the Ohio State Fair Girl Scout talent competition on Saturday and so I've been thinking a lot about talent. There were so many girls there sharing their gifts with us. But, alas, in a competition, there can only be one winner, and so many little girls went away broken-hearted. I only hope their loved ones were able to comfort them and give them the courage to try again.
I'm so glad Zentangle is not a contest. I truly believe that if you can hold a pencil, you can do Zentangle. My impromptu class yesterday was a perfect example. I had two wonderful, talented ladies who came at the urging of a friend. Neither thought they would be able to do it. Check out what they accomplished.
My favorite moment was when one of the daughters took a look at her mom's work and said in a stunned voice, "You did that? No way!"
So, my talented readers, keep tangling and amaze someone today.
Cris
PS - Birdie was not one of the brokenhearted :-)
