When I was on vacation, it seemed that everywhere I looked, I saw potential tangle patterns. My husband thinks it's an unhealthy obsession, but I prefer to think of it as a new way of looking at things. I met a nice lady on the plane who, after watching me tangle for a while, told me that it is just paying more attention to detail and living more "in the moment." I like her analysis better. Here's the next in my California-inspired tangles. I call it CWeedZ. Here's the inspiration picture.
And here is my tangle pattern.
Finally, here it is used in a tile. I used Linda Farmer's Shiraz pattern. I thought it would be a perfect accompaniment since it looks like shells. My DD said it wasn't "tangly" enough, so I put on a border using the Japanese water tangles from Sandy Bartholomew's Totally Tangled. In particular, I used Swell, Quiff, Zazzle, and Falls.

Diggin' it! *G*
ReplyDeleteGreat tile for a journal entry of a holiday at the seaside… Love how the patterns match thematically!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Phine. In fact, I am working on a journal of our trip to California. I never thought of including a tangle. Thanks.
