Thank Goodness for Zentangle!

<RANT ON>
Tonight was supposed to be a perfect, relaxing evening.  DH and DD are both out and I had 3 hours to myself to paint.  I was excited. I watched some awesome online instructions to get inspired, turned on my favorite painting music, made myself a pot of tea, and settled in to paint.

Things went downhill from there. I don't know if it subconsciously comparing my amateur talents to the amazingly talented artists or what, but nothing turned out how I wanted it to.  It is so frustrating to not be able to make my hands do what my eyes want them to!
<RANT OFF>

Thank heavens for Zentangle.  You can't fail Zentangle because it's not supposed to look like anything! You don't know how much I needed that tonight!  It is very freeing to let go of expectations and just let the creativity flow.

This isn't my all-time favorite tile, but that is OK.  It is good enough.

I tangled my anger INTO this one.  What a scary face!
And then I took a photo with my phone turned sideways and guess what I discovered?

  1. Love the tile and your discovery but maybe it's not all anger - maybe the "lips" are just blowing up the frustration with a big ole raspberry!

  2. Gosh Cris, you made me smile anyway! Now tangle a big grin and put them on the fridge.
